MARY, MARY: Artworks

Images of the work of all the visual artists who accepted an invitation to participate in the group exhibition are provided below. The images appear in alphabetical order by artists’ last names.

No distinction is made in this section between artists whose work appears only online and artists whose work is in the Parish Hall gallery space at St. Michael’s. An image of every exhibition artwork appears online.

A number of generous artists have provided more than one image or framed artwork for the exhibition.

The artworks range from the conceptually abstract to the figurative and representational, from paintings to woodcuts, to collage and digital prints. The materials used in their creation include oils and acrylic paints, watercolors, gold and silver leaf, found objects, rice papers, hand-made papers, and various mixed media. One distinguishing mark of all the works is the degree to which the artists help us open ourselves to see Mary with new eyes.

Participating Artists: Carolyn M. Abrams, Trine Bumiller, Kathy Daywalt, Manal Deeb, Dana Ellyn, Lisa Harkins, Cheryl Ryan Harshman, James Janknegt, Janet McKenzie, Margaret Adams Parker, Aisha Renee, Elise Ritter, Kathleen Stark, Lauren Tilden, Randall David Tipton, Jeanie Tomanek, Ann Tracy, Hans Versteeg a.k.a. Service Times

Sunday Eucharist at St. Michael's is a comprehensive service of both Word and Sacrament. We read from the Bible, we recite or sing a psalm, and we listen to a sermon. Then we pray for the Church and the world, and we ask God's forgiveness for our sins. Finally, we greet one another in the peace of Christ and move to the sacramental service of the Holy Communion.

At services of Holy Eucharist, all baptized persons are welcome to receive holy communion. We also offer blessings to those who for any reason are not able or not comfortable receiving this sacrament.Children are always welcome at the communion rail. Learn more about Episcopal Worship
